Calley decided to become an attorney when she was 11 years old. She attended Southern Illinois University and graduated with honors. After graduating, Calley attended Southern Illinois University School of Law, where she worked actively in the Immigration Detention Project, seeking to protect the rights of immigration detainees. There she became passionate about preserving the rights of the underprivileged.

After graduating law school, Calley worked with multiple world-wide charitable and humanitarian organizations to improve their fundraising and efficiency and learning about their work on a world-wide scale.

Calley has practiced many different areas of law, including family law, criminal law and estate planning. She was appointed as Assistant Public Defender for Macoupin County in 2018, becoming the first female appointed to a full-time Public Defender position in that county. While with the Public Defender, Calley handled felonies, misdemeanors, DUI’s, traffic, juvenile adjudication, juvenile delinquency, juvenile truancy, and was a sitting member of the Macoupin County Drug Court.

Calley joined Madelyn Daley and Associates in 2023 to continue to pursue her passion for criminal defense.

In her free time, Calley enjoys reading about queenship in Early Modern and Renaissance Europe and spending time with her friends and family.
